“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it a fate.” - Carl Jung
breathwork therapy
Breathwork is a journey to the core of your emotions and subtle layers of your unconscious self. Breathwork is a set of various breathing exercises to improve mental, physical, and emotional health. Originating from Eastern practices and incorporating Western therapeutic techniques to enhance self-awareness, Breathwork can include elements of talk therapy, breathing exercises, expressive arts, music, and touch. The breath is a bridge between conscious and unconscious. By connecting to our breath, we create a space to release what we’ve been holding onto, engage with our past, and move closer to our true selves. Conscious breathing helps to metabolize old wounds, move unprocessed emotions, achieve mental clarity, access inner creative resources, and connect with the Self.
Thus, one can renegotiate the relationships with the past to move forward.
Session
During the introduction, we explore what’s present and set the theme for the active breathwork journey which lasts up to 60 min. The session is carefully observed and supported by verbal cues or touch, music & guidance. Finally, we leave space for therapeutic reflection, integration, and Q&A support.
The conscious breathing is usually done lying down in a relaxed and comfortable pace. You learn to connect to your breath eventually finding your rhythm consciously. Music can activate the limbic system, which is involved in the processing and regulation of emotions and long-term memory.
